              Fancy play of words are in full swing when we talk about love and marriage.Marriage is an important and inevitable event in our life whether we like it or not.We must get married at an appropriate time to have the advantages.Marriage is an equivalent to responsibility and compatibility.A successful marriage need not be full of romantic candlelight dinners and bouquets.Many traditional marriages go rock steady through years without a single romantic outing.Husband may not appreciate the drawings and paintings of the wife ,but he works and plan perfectly for the welfare of the family which is also essential.Some couples always have romantic getaways and parties but careless for the upbringing of the children or taking care of the elders of the family.Personal space is possible only in space not in a marriage.A successful marriage demands a death of a self ,when your priority comes last on the list means you have become a successful homemaker.We may question why one should make sacrifices?! In any relationship ,one will dominate the other ,though not fully ,there will be an edge.There is nothing called,’all are equal’,definitely ‘some are more than equal’.Men and Women can have education and paycheque equally, but  these factors have nothing to do with the successful marriage.Success in a marriage is not just finding a right spouse but being a right partner also.The line between being independent and dependent should be drawn carefully, because the obligation to adjust falls on both.We may have thousand theories on book for a successful marriage, but the secret of a happy marriage is a secret to all.While crossing all hurdles put forth by the in-laws, work place, children, health, we become exhausted.In those troubled times, marriage will look like a waste of time, money and energy.Everyone comes through that phase.In school days we talk about marriage, in college life ,we dream about marriage.Later we plan for the marriage.Then the marriage happens one fine day with all gala, glitter and colours.But the real celebration of marriage is when we save it .It is a never ending journey of the two who adopt themselves to the development of each day in life.One of my Professors used to say,”all Tamil films end with a marriage, but remember our life starts with the marriage “.True.😜
